pre-school rates?

I sure would like to contest this in payments I went to school thinking I did not have to pay full pop due to Martin Luther King day, and the lady said why would you think that, than I would have to pro-rate the whole year of school not being open for Holidays, I was like “SO”. Honestly schools do not get paid for not having students in on Holidays. So my question is, is this standard or do I have a fight on my hands? I was not even aware of this 15 years ago I paid for full private school as a single mom working I had no choice but to keep my guy in school full time. Now I am a stay at home mom with a 4 year old in pre-school and this is the first time a Holiday came up for me besides Christmas. I was like blind-sided that they could even ask for this money, I already know they are on the expensive side for costs. However I do think it is not fair that on closed legal holidays the school can charge you for that day.
