Have You Ever Used Their Services?
Filed Under Pre Paid Legal | 1 Comment
About a month ago, I signed up with this company called Pre-Paid legal. They supposedly help you resolve almost any legal problem you may have. They’ve been in business for over 30 years, are top notch on the NYSE for the last 5 years and I have friends that have used the service. I’m looking to see if anyone else has used them for Legal services, Motor Vehicle issues, Trial Defense, IRS Audits or Credit Protection? I mean, I only pay $24 a month for the service and it does cover my whole family. I have them clearing up 2 incidents for me now. I bought something online for $826 and never received it and I’m also suing someone for $1500. So,I have them working on it for me, but I’d like to know if anyone has used them and what the final outcome was? And how long it took for resolution. I found the service on the web and my friend uses them. www.prepaidlegal.com/go/slpadula Thanks in advance for any help!

Is it legal for an employer to require a potential employee to pay for pre-employment drug testing?
Filed Under Pre Paid Legal | 4 Comments
I am a New Mexico resident and was just offered a nice position with what appears to be a pretty good company. The only condition was that I pay for my pre-employment drug test. I have worked for SEVERAL companies over the years, and have probably submitted to at least 50 tests… but have never been required to pay for the test.
I am questioning the LEGALITY of this in New Mexico and am looking for a specific website or document that I can use to verify the facts. I appreciate everyone who is quick to give a “yes they can” or “no they can’t” answer… but I am really interested in the written law, and where I might find said writing.
Thanks in Advance,
Kathryne

FINDING BUSINESS PARTNERS
Filed Under Pre Paid Legal | 2 Comments
I am an Independent Associate for Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc. I am starting my own small business of getting memberships for Pre-Paid Legal and other services called DIVINE WISDOM. I am in need of 4 business partners to make associates right now. I will provide them with the information they need to get started.
Is there a way to find potential prospects by searching on-line?

Are there programs or organizations for fathers who can’t afford attorneys?
Filed Under Pre Paid Legal | 1 Comment
I live in california, on the Central coast. I have been representing myself in a custody matter for 2 years now. I can’t afford to drop 3000 dollars at once, due to child support paying her attorney, court fees and other things. So I’ve been representing myself. Big mistake. I know I can win this case, and it would be in the best interest of my son, but I either seem to will out the wrong forms say the wrong thing, and get stuck spending more money. So I need to get an attorney, but I can’t afford one? So does anyone know of any programs that either 1, help fathers pay for attorneys,2 will hire an attorney and I do a payment plan, 3 or fights for fathers rights. I’ve looked over and over the internet, and I’m getting more and more confused, I’ve tried pre-paid legal, and well its really hasn’t helped. So if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

pre-paid credit cards? 10 points for best answer! THANK YOU?
Filed Under Pre Paid Legal | 3 Comments
OK - I’ve seen adds talk about credit cards you buy at the store and fill with your own money and they seem pretty much like a debit card, but act like a credit card.
1) am I right? is that what they are? more details would help…
2) Is there a legal age limit? (Have to be 18 to use.. ect.)
3) Would you suggest getting one?
4) How does it work?
5) I know there was a website… can someone direct me to it?
Thanks a bunch!!!
The commercial said that you can use it online though… so how does that part work? (Thanks!)

my wife’s employer denied her short-term disability insur. pymts due to of a “pre-existing” condition. legal?
Filed Under Pre Paid Legal | 9 Comments
Our understanding is that “short-term disability insurance” covers any injury, ailment or other medical condition that causes you to miss an amount of time from work defined in your policy as “short-term”. My wife was taken from work to the hospital by ambulance. Surgery was performed. Her personal doctor prescribed 6 weeks off from work. She had been treated a couple years earlier for similar heart palpitations. However, the issue was not over whether or not her insurance would cover the actual treatment. She purchased the short-term disability insurance as a supplemental policy to cover unforseen circumstances that caused her to miss work - and income. How is it that the insurance company can refuse to pay citing “pre-existing condition” under these curcumstances?
